Bela Padilla “Stepping Out of the Shadows” controversial racist FHM magazine cover March 2012 issue which shows Bela Padilla in a bikini among a group of dark-skinned models has now changed to Bela Padilla solo image “I Want to Emerge with My Own Name” which, in my personal opinion, is a dull and one BIG epic FAIL.

Obviously, I like the first Cover photo of Bela Padilla caption “Stepping out of Shadows” rather than “I want to emerge with my own name?” Isn’t this supposed to be an FHM magazine cover? Yes, the first cover with a light-skinned model emerges from a group of black models may look racist to a few but it doesn’t mean they need to change everything including the caption. Why not remove those models and just replaced it with dark-moonlighted background? Then, it wouldn’t look racist anymore.

Bela Padilla is a sexy and pretty actress that sometimes look like Bea Alonzo. But who is Bela Padilla anyway?

Sorry, but for us OFWs who only have TFC’s channel available, we certainly never heard of her if there wasn’t an international ad sparked debate on social media and news sites  of the so-called racist FMH Philippines Magazine Cover March Issue 2012.

Bela Padilla started out her showbiz career in GMA 7 as a part of Star Magic talents way back in 2008. She appeared in a number of TV shows mostly playing support roles like Totoy Bato. In 2009, she became visible in TV5’s LokoMoko High as Krista Sullivan.

In early 2010, her management changed her name from Krista Sullivan to Bela Padilla, since she is also related to the Padilla clan.

Bela Padilla is currently in a relationship with Jason Abalos.
